Today, I got my mother’s day gift. The UPS guy brought it to the door. I am a happy woman. I’m not ecstatic yet. You see, I don’t have the proper cable needed, at this point, to add photos to my new laptop!! When I get it, I’ll be more than thrilled.
I’ve been shopping around and debating the different types of things (such as ipads, laptops, those other things I can’t even remember the proper names of now) for some time. It took forever! I went a little nuts! I really wanted something I could blog from, post photos to the blog from and read from all while on the road. I wanted it to be light weight, small and inexpensive. Sometimes, you have to give a little to get a little. Deciding what to give up on in the process. I really dislike giving up on something I want, but this way, I can pretty much have what I want — everything I want — eventually. After all, I’ll never stop buying real books. I love the printed word and the feel of paper in my hands. So, if I decide I want an eReader down the line, I can still get one. For now, I just want that cable.
Then I’ll be able to write on my blog without having to wait on the grandkids or worry about whether or not my back is acting up. It is right now. More (slight) back spasms. Don’t want to aggravate it by sitting at the computer. Now I don’t have to!
