I’ve been totally obsessed with basting the English Paper Pieces. I finished all of the fabrics that could possibly be in the yellow and grey heart hex mini last night. There are so many options! It’s so much fun just to rearrange them over and over! I’ve toyed with the idea of just picking some out of a bag to make this one. We’ll see.
All of my options, so far, have ended up having the dots surrounding the hearts. If I pull from a bag, that won’t happen. I may have to try that just to see what it looks like in practice. I may like it enough to keep it and sew it.
Looking at these photos, I think I like the smaller heart at this point. What do you think? Do you have a favorite here? The grey that is behind the first two photos in this post will be the background hexs used in the quilt. It’s not exactly the same color as the grey in the hexs, but it picks up the greys well.
Also, I wanted to mention my 1000th post celebration/try to save my post office contest again…just mail me a postcard or letter to be entered to win a miniature quilt made by me. It is in progress. If I make changes to it, I’ll post the photo again. Until then, you can see the mini as it is now — here. Send your postcards here: Sharon Renick, PO Box 404, Trinidad, TX 75163-0404
