A Few More Postcards

These are all postcrossing postcards.

from Russia

from Russia

The first one is from Dmitry in Yekaterinburg, Russia.  He says that Yekaterinburg is the 6th largest city in Russia and that he loves living there.  He has a friend who lives in the United States and he hopes to visit one day.  He is engaged to Natasha and they are to be married this month!  There was a phase in Russian on the back of the card which he was kind enough to translate…”A Dog is the best consoler because it doesn’t ask why you’re sad”.

The second card is from Chia-Ling in Taiwan.  She is brand new to postcrossing and has only mailed and received a few postcards so far.  She says this postcard shows Jiufen and says that a very good dessert to eat there is taro-balls.

The next postcard shows a Mickey Mouse “head”.  It comes from Naho in Japan, who says that the Japanese characters on front say “Mickey Mouse”.  Naho went to the Disney resort in Tokyo with her family when she was ten.  She says it remains one of her favorite memories!  She hopes to go to Disneyland in Florida someday.  She’s visited Georgia and New York so far in the United States.  She also says that 12 people from Georgia had visited their area just last week.  (this card was mailed on May 8, 2013).  Naho hopes to study in the USA one day.

Japanese stamps!

Japanese stamps!

Just look at these great postage stamps that were on Naho’s postcard from Japan!  I just love them both.  So fun!

That’s all for today folks.  More tomorrow!  Hope you’re enjoying these cards.
