On The Road — in Winona

Misfit Island Shoppe and Pat’s Bear, Doll and Toy Hospital

We drove through Winona, Texas on our way to my uncle’s funeral yesterday.  We had been up that way on Monday to visit my aunt and to say our goodbyes to my sweet uncle.  The drive is really pretty nice, even this time of year with the heat.  I saw several things I wanted to stop and photograph along the way.  Unfortunately, we had a bit of a time crunch each visit.  Luckily I had time to stop for  just a moment this morning and get a shot of this little shop.  So fun!  Do you see the little Christmas trees in front of the shop?  I’m wondering if it’s one shop or two?  There are two signs.  One says Misfit Island Shoppe and the other reads Pat’s Bear Doll Toy Hospital!  I don’t know how to double-check this, but I’m almost positive that I’ve seen the toy hospital on Texas Country Reporter many years back.  Then again, in a state this size, there could be two!
